Archipelago of Los Roques

Enjoy The Caribbean as it was 40 years ago.
Los Roques a well kept secret sailing paradise among sailors who arrived in the early nineties and before trying to find the Caribbean that we all dreamed about when we started to look at the Atlas many years ago.

In the Caribbean sea exists a place not known to many people. A real virgin paradise called Archipelago de Los Roques. You need not travel to the Islands of the Maldives or to the Islands of the South Pacific which by now are overcrowded, to enjoy dream landscapes and really fascinating nature. In the Los Roques Islands time has almost stopped, its natural beauty has maintained, wild and exotic, surrounded with a special magic that traps everyone including its authentic people and there way of living.
We offer excellent programs and day tours that includes sailing cruises trough this wonderful and impressive archipelago, on board sailboats or powerboats,  including as option, bone fishing, and scuba diving packages with accommodation either onboard a sailboat or in a Posadas.
What you find is solitary Islands, peace and solitude that invites one to relax and forget about the outside world, just enjoying this incredible and exotic place in the Caribbean.
LOS ROQUES ARCHIPELAGO, LOS ROQUES NATIONAL PARK.
In the Caribbean Sea, around 176 Km north of Caracas (the capital of Venezuela) is situated the National Park of the Archipelago of Los Roques. One of the biggest National Marine Parks of the Caribbean, with a very special flora and fauna, white beaches and crystal clear turquoise warm water, born with a natural wealth above and under water, no crime with a warm and friendly population.
Map of Los Roques, Los Roques lies 90 miles north of Venezuela
In the Island of Gran Roques lives around a 1500 people permanent, spread around a 110 families, where most is ancestors of fishermen that arrived in the beginning of the 19th. century from the Island of Margarita. Today they still use the old way of fishing and mainly they catch Lobsters, King Conch and Spanish Mackerel. You will find more than 64 live posadas (lodges) in los Roques all with less than 100 meters to the beach.
Visit Los Roques, and discover marvelous virgin Islands all with beautiful beaches and calm bays, your experienced crew will make you feel more than  home and take care of all your needs. An exquisite cuisine and fresh food from the sea will be prepared on board. A variety of activities is possible, Scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, kite surfing, fishing, fly fishing or just have a swim in crystal clear waters accompanied with a siesta on the beach.
Enjoy the experience of navigating and exploring one of the most attractive and least known destinations in the Caribbean and the world.
The Archipelago of Los Roques has an extenuation of more than 221,120 Ha. and more than 100 Islands, numerous Sandbanks, keys, and coral reefs. La piedra de la Hausa is found here, it was quoted by Rondales Scuba as one of the best dives in the world.
Los Roques is protected by a great Barrier reef that surrounds all of the Islands and makes sailing safe and pleasant. You will not get seasick, “Guarantied”.
Los Roques Islands became a National Park in 1972 and is the biggest marine reserve archipelago in the world.
For those who only want to go for a day tour only please ask for our special offer.
"I can think of few places where I have had as much pleasure just sailing as among Los Roques"

Quoted by Donald Street sailor and author of Venezuela, Trinidad and the ABC islands cruising guide.
